I have had a couple of these by this time in my life. Before i ordered the same one of these which had a weight limit of 500lbs. It was hard not flexible plastic. At the time i was 400- heavest 420. The 500lb weight limit would crack where glued together with in first week of using it! Yet it was super sturdy. Last 500lb sturdy one i had was just before this current one. The only difference in the above comment is that I was 550-600lbs. Now let's talk about this 600lbs limit grey one. This is semi-better I am going on my second month and the seat is poking out a little at seam but is still together. I currently weigh 550/600 lbs. I believe the reason this one is holding up better is the plastic of the seat seems to be softer or has more room to flex. The study ness doesn’t seem to be there as much but we did let a teenager put it together! Don't trust the nonslip feet on this or any bath seat for that matter! Use with caution human nature and gravity!Heavy duty.I had a knee replacement and I was 280 pounds. This chair fit in my old narrow tub and held me. I lent it to a neighbor who is 360 pounds, he was so impressed he bought one too.I weigh 460. I've used this shower chair twice and it's four leg bolts are already trying to poke through the plastic seat. I would say maybe 350lb capacity, but WAY not 550.this shower seat is quite sturdy and not at all difficult to put together, replacing another brand that did not hold up a year.Disappointed when it came because the parts were backwards and we had to take them apart and put them back together the right way. It took extra time to fix the legs and put them on the correct way. There were no other reviews to see if others had the same issue, but my husband was able to fix the issue. Once fixed, the seat is nice and sturdy. We are of normal weight but our last shower chair pretty much disintegrated within a year, so this one seems to be much more sturdy. I just warn you that the way it comes may be confusing and you may have to figure out how to correctly assemble it. Ours was wrong. This product states that it’s weight limit is 550 lbs. well at 452 the sides were bending down when the weight was distributed to either side. Legs were wobbly and I did not feel safe. Did an instant return and shipped it back!A piece of the seating area broke after 3 uses. Now it has to be replaced. The chair was easy to assemble, fits in the shower leaving plenty of space. It’s light weight makes it easy to remove for cleaning. The adjustable legs make it comfortable for the entire family. It was a good buy.
