Polyester Material: This cushion uses a luxurious, durable polyester material. The material is extra thick designed to hold up to heavy usage and in environments with children or heavy traffic, such as schools and churches (many other cushions use velvet material, which can wear out faster) . The material is also water resistant. Extra-Thick Foam Padding:Standard piano bench cushions use 1" foam padding. We've found this is often not enough however, as the padding compresses (especially on cheaper made foams). This cushion uses 1.5" in foam padding--providing comfort, while not raising the pianist too high. Removable Cover - Zippered Back: Cushions are known to get dirty over time. We've therefore made the cushion cover removable, by adding a zipper to the back of the cover. This way, if your cushion ever gets damaged, you can clean the cover. Or if you ever damage the foam, you will be able to replace the foam without having to buy a brand new cover! The zipper is tucked into the piping flaps, so it does not stick out.
